Forgive me ~ FlexBoogie ft Sfiso Atomza

Flex Boogie describes the song as “An apology for the ills we’ve suffered black girls in the name of love…” I fell in love with the song first time I heard it, I proceeded to write 16 Bars to summarise my experience of being the hurter. And yes, it is a bit cheesy with the 1000 apologies but its a necessary song in a world full of broken black men who break women down. Do have a listen and download if possible. https://bksblkrecords.bandcamp.com/

Lyrics.

Messed up quite like never before
Dropped the ball on you – let it hit the floor
Could I be more broken, shamed & wrong?
Look now you’re so closed & trust is gone

Could I be more broken, shamed & wrong?
Look no you’re so closed & trust is gone

*Hook*

Would you forgive me
If I said I didn’t mean it?
Would you believe me
If I showed you how I’m bleeding?

In my reason reach your heart
In my pleading mend your cuts
Would you believe me?
Would you forgive me?

Would you believe me?
Would you forgive me?

Sway!!!

Took a little walk last night
Till it hit the morning light
I – Wonder where you were last night
Did I even cross your mind love?

Should I call you?
Will I annoy you?
Should I avoid you babe?

Should I call you?
Will I annoy you – Baby?

*Hook* x2:

Would you forgive me
If I said I didn’t mean it?
Would you believe me
If I showed you how I’m bleeding?

In my reason reach your heart
In my pleading mend your cuts
Would you believe me?
Would you forgive me?

Would you believe me?
Would you forgive me?

*16 Bar Switch up by Atomza*

I never meant to do it
Im pleading guilty, cummon trust me.
Im battered and bruised
With a bleeding heart thats kinda chokey.
Low-key creeping on the underground
For that I aint proud.
I never gave you time,
Missed our dates, you never made a sound
You never cried.
Ignored the lies, once, twice or thrice.
You numbed the pain,
We became,
Strangers in the distance.
Now, huff and puff,
Lets smoke a peacepipe, this is my advice
The future’s gone
We shoulda built a home thats strong enough.
